Hello everyone! Wow, all I have to say is, I've never had such a busy week! We have been working hard at rehearsals and I finally feel like it is all coming together (and just in time because tomorrow is our first show for the community!) In the midst our crazy schedule we have had a lot of fun! Sunday was our most relaxing day. We got to sleep in until 8:00 (and that is quite a big deal) and then we went to church. After that, we went to the beach at Dauphin Island which has become one of my favorite events. After waiting for a short storm to pass, we were ready to hit the sand. My family represented our home states in our sand sculpture contest with a giant ear of corn (IA) and some syrup (NH). Contrary to popular belief, we did not intend for it to be "corn syrup" :)
After the beach we had a fun time relaxing with our families, while preparing ourselves for Monday's rehearsal, at the theatre. Monday was hard work but well worth it when we got to celebrate with the "tweens." We had a pajama party full of nails, hair, make-up, and even massages! My "tween," McKenzie was so adorable! Today we got to see everyone's talents for the first time...how impressive. I was literally floored by some of the undercover talents of many of the girls. After rehearsals, we had our infamous North vs. South softball game. Although the North lost in an extra inning (with a questionable call in favor of the south) we all had a fun time! The best part of the night, however, was definitely seeing my parents! It made me feel at home to talk to them in person! I was so excited!
Also, for everyone involved in my AMAZING video from home, thank you sooo much! It brought me to tears and reminded me how blessed I am to have such wonderful friends and family. Thanks for all of your support!
Love you all!
Lisa
