I learned today that there is absolutely nothing like southern hospitality! I woke up to a delicious breakfast and then got ready for a loooooooooooooonnnggggg day of rehearsal. Although my feet are worn out, the opening number is finished and we reviewed fitness (which I really needed.) We at lunch at the Country Club with the Kiwanis members. They were so kind and the food was great.
After lunch we went back to SHBC for more rehearsal and right when I was sure my feet were going to fall off it was time to Luau. The luau was amazing and the people at Gordon Oaks were a blast. The DJ got us into dancing with some modern music and then we danced to some oldies with the residents. My favorite part was dancing to "Glamourous" by Furgie with one of the women.
I am looking forward to another crazy day tomorrow- I get to go to Camp Smile for the Day of Caring and I am SO excited. I can not wait to meet the kids and I know that working with them is going to be an irreplaceable experience. I can't wait!
