    Legal Question-Credit Card

First I want to say how great it is that
you all gave so much of yourselves
    and helped so many people.
    Here's my question.
    My husband died in 2006.
He had a Chase credit card.
I was not a joint cardholder
    but was an authorized user.
I called and canceled it and
    sent them a death cert.
They had put this against me in
my credit report. How can I get
    this straightened out?
    He had no estate.
    I  live in Alabama.
Thank You so very much for your time and help,
    Deborah Butts

    Re: Legal Question-Credit Card

If you did not sign documents obligating yourself to pay the credit card debt, you can write the company and request that they notify the credit bureaus to remove the incorrect information.
