Today was a big day! We moved into the Civic Center for rehearsals! We spent the morning fixing spacing for the opening number and the nonfinalists dance. The was lunch at Wintzells! The food was delicious and we headed over to the oyster bar for the oyster eating contest. I fully intended to eat a whole oyster, so I put it on a cracker with cocktail sauce. I really can't swallow anything whole and that proves to be the proper oyster eating technique, but i decided to chew it! I took a bite and swallowed and all i could taste was cocktail sauce. I tried to eat the rest, but it was just too gross. Congrats to Kali from Maryland for breaking the record and eating 34!!!
Afternoon rehearsal consisted of splitting up into the four color groups to work on fitness and self-expression. I had downtime so I was able to fit in TWO naps =] =]=] Then we had a pizza party with tweens and did make-up, hair, nails, a craft, and my favorite, a MASSAGE. It felt wonderful and now I can't keep my eyes open! Tomorrow is the Baybears game (which I am totally pumped for) and my family and chair people will be arriving soon and I'm thrilled to see them!
