    What a fun day!

Today was our much needed break! I think I can speak for almost all of us Junior Misses down here when I say we are feeling much better and rested. Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day finally putting our routines on the stage. Most of the stress is gone and we all get to start enjoying everything we've worked so hard on this past week.

Going to the Spring Hill Baptist Church today was wonderful. The congregation was so kind to us and truly enjoyed having us join them. We were given a short break in the early afternoon as well. I took a short nap to get every bit of exhaustion out of me. My host mom, Jennifer, made a delicious lunch for Danielle and I and around 230 we all jumped in the car to head out to Dauphin Island. Fort Gaines was really interesting too. Many of our "moms" were worried that we wouldn't be as excited about it as we were some of the other events, but it was great. They were so happy to have all of us our there touring their museum. It was built almost 200 years ago and I'm sure will be something people will visit hundreds, if not thousands, of years from now. The people at Fort Gaines were so generous. They gave each of us totes with gifts inside. We also heard from John Tyson Sr. who has done quite a bit for Mobile county and Alabama as a whole. He had so much to say and was one of the first people I have ever heard speak that really just knows what Junior Miss is about. He shared his appreciation of the program and of us as being motivated young women. Each one of us was beaming. Amazing speaker!

Dauphin Island was so much fun! Our host families came with us and we had a sand structure building contest. We didn't do as well as we thought we deserved but we had such a blast. There was a bit of a storm scare and Johanna(Alaska) and I did a rain dance. We looked crazy but we had fun...that's all that matters right? : ) The ocean felt like bath water and the girls and I lounged in it for a long time. Thanks to everyone who helped make today possible. We definitely needed that!

Tomorrow is a new day and a new week. We're all so excited. Send your love, thoughts of good health, and soon, your bodies! ha ha Miss you all!

    Love, Hannah

    Hi Hannah!

Sounds like you are having many "once in a lifetime" experiences.  I spoke to Kim this morning and she said everything was going very well.  I so wish I could be there.  Just keep being yourself. You are truly spectacular and I'm sure everyone can see your beautiful insides shining out from your sparkling eyes.  Hailee and I are rooting for you.  Some of the girls are having a party to watch the finals on the computer.  You make Idaho and CDA  proud!  Best of luck.

    Love Sandi Goodlander
