Today was the first day, and what a wonderful day it was!
Misty Moyle, Nevada's Jr. Miss, and I went to Bellingrath Gardens this morning along with our Host Dad, Mr. Teeto. We were introduced to the Board of AJM and had breakfast with the other contestants as well as their own host dads.

After breakfast we toured the gardens in the wonderful humidity and heat that all the girls love!!! :) We then went to Springhill Baptist Church where we will be having our rehearsals. We had an orientation with our moms in which we did wardrobe, hair and make-up. The opening number outfits are super cute!!! My dress is pink (yay!) and we each have a fun sash as well as gold shoes and jewelry.

We were then introduced to our choreographers for the opening number and non-finalist dance. The opening number is tons of fun! Misty and I have already said we are going to have to practice in our heals! Everyone knows how clumsy I can be!

After rehearsal, we put on our cowgirl outfits and toured the USS Alabama and the USS Drum. We then started the hoedown- dancing with our host families! It was a lot of fun seeing everyone get comfortable with one another and break free getting their boogie on!!!

Today's been a FABULOUS first day, and I know their will be plenty more in store for us! Misty and I have already said it feels like Christmas, and it's only the first day!
