Hey everyone!!! I made it!!! Today was a pretty low key day. I arrived in Mobile a little before 11:30 and was greeted by girls in HUGE dresses and my host family. Since the other girl that is staying with my host family didn't arrive until 4:22 I got the chance to have lunch with my host family and come back to their houst to just hang out. I got to unpack my bags and rest before heading back to the airport for the opening ceremony. At te ceremony each girl was introduced and escorted down a flight of stairs at the main entrance of the airport. Everyone was there! Our sponsors, our girl scout troops, and host families. It was awesome. You really do feel like a celebrity. A cheerleading squad even made up a cheer calling us "the best in the nation." At moments I cant even believe that I am here. Its unreal. I waited so long for this and now it has started. Im going to take a deep breath and just hope everything goes okay. I miss everyone from home SO much. It is already hard to be away from everyone.

Mom: Oh gosh do I miss you. Im so glad you got to come to the gate with me. It was so hard walking away from you, dad, and caite today. I can't wait to see you next week. I love you! MWAW!!!

Dad: Sorry it was so upsetting for you today but I got here okay! :0) Its going to be really hard not to talk to you 3 times a day. Ill call you whenever I can. I love you!

Drew, Nicole, Chase, & Caite: LOVE YOU!!!! Chase Im excited to see all your teeth!

Sam: These 3 weeks will be hard but I'll see you as soon as I get home. Love you!

So glad you made it ok. Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time.

Chase slept for 2 hours at daycare yesterday. He never sleeps that much there. He came home made a huge mess of his dinner. Was in a great mood. Drew and I had him laughing so hard yesterday. I had him standing on the couch and Drew was hiding behind the couch and kept jumping up and scaring him. Chase was cracking up. After a few times he learned to look down over the couch to find Drew. It was really cute. Drew put him to bed about 8:30 and then he got up about midnight and got in bed with me (your favorite!). Only he didn't snuggle in and go to sleep. He tossed and turned until 5:30. Which of course he was out like a light when it was finally time for me to get up. Great mood again this morning so I don't know what his deal was last night. Maybe he was missin you!

Chase sees the ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) doctor next Wed at 2 about the tubes in his ears so I will be sure to keep you up to date on that appt.

I can't believe we leave for vacation in just over a week. Can't wait to see you!

This sure is ruff on me..  I sure miss " my girl", what am I going to do when your off to college?.. were you suprized when you saw us all back at the gate?    no way were you going until i saw you on that plane...  honey, just have fun, do what you do best -> be yourself.. & you will come threw this has a shining star...I'm lost for words just that I love you & very prood of you..   love, Dad    :(
