Hi, everyone!

Just in case you're new to our site, my name is Darwin Singleton, and I'm the feature reporter here at NBC 15. I've been reporting on America's Junior Miss for more than 10 years, but this year I embark on a new journey- sharing AJM moments with you on our webchannel, NBC15online.com

Our NBC 15 photgraphers and I will be following the fun and excitement experienced by your state representative. But I have a very important question for all of you.

What would you like to see?

We can bring you fun video moments of our state AJMs, their own photos, my observations, even yours. It's wide open. You tell ME, and we'll see if we can make it happen!

I'll check this blog several times a day, so don't hold back! Help me build the excitement all the way to the National Finals!

My name is Terri
The girl scout troops around the area have adopted the Junior misses. They will be at the ceremony at the airport as well as  a T-shirt party at Spring hill baptist on Friday, June 20. You should talk to some of tthe girl scouts about this. Our troop is  459 and our leader is Becky Tate, You can also get the perspective from the Junior misses about being adopted.
This is something new that has never been done. The girl scouts adopting. Also, a good friend of mine Carol Hegwood is the contestant chair.She follows the girls everywhere while they are here.She has done it for several years. YOu may want to ask her why she does it every year and does she ever tire of it. Just some ideas.

That's a GREAT idea, Terri! I just saw those Girl Scouts tonight at the welcome ceremony. I'll make sure we get with them at the T-Shirt party.

Tell Carol to say hello to me when she sees me. (I probably have talked to her... the name is familiar.) I probably should do an entire piece on the behind the scenes people.

We're working on it! We're on the verge of loading another round of 20 Second Bios of our representatives. Also, we're editing video of the following events- the big luau, a BBQ and line dance, and today's United Way "Day of Caring". Keep watching! It's on it's way!

We were slowed down a bit due to coverage of the US Airforce and the Airplane Tanker debate Thursday (a HUGE story for Mobile) But we're catching up. It's coming, Dr. Marty!
