    Paid Lawyer

I retained the services of a lawyer on 8-4-2006 for a simple child support modification.  I paid the lawyer in full on this date.  I had one meeting and now, 2 years later, nothing has been done. I leave messages and have only been called back twice out of at least 15 calls.  What was stated to me that would be done has not.  I sent two emails after I located the email address online and still nothing.  Now my daughter is 18 and my ex is retiring from the military in 3 months. I left a message about this also, no callback.  What are my options.  I am to the point that I just want my money back and I mentioned this in the email. Still nothing.  Please advise.

Also, when I schedule an appointment to see this lawyer, at least on 3 seperate occasions, the secretary calls and cancels on the day before.

Sounds like you need to contact the bar association in your state. I do not know if the Better Business Bureau would be involved or not.
