Sorry, I did forget to mention about Fort Gaines. We arrived and all the tour guides were dressed in Civil War clothing (I felt so bad for them -- wool in 100 degree weather!) and had a huge table with refreshments and beautiful table decorations. We toured the fort and witnessed an actual blacksmith shape iron like they did in the 1860s, the shot of a cannon (with LOTS less gunpowder), a back room with musket and cannon windows, and even the latrines... very glamorous. A picture was then dedicated in the name of Junior Misses, and two trees were planted in honor of Junior Misses, one by Norma Boyd, Miss Alabama, and one by Nora Ali, America's Junior Miss 2007.
