So I hate to be brief, but we had a very late night tonight!! We just got in a few minutes ago after the Mardi Gras parade (which was not like anything I've EVER seen before) was backed up and consequently made us run a little late for our own prom, ha. Can't say it wasn't worth it, however. The Junior Misses were on two really neat floats and basically lead the parade behind the Azalea Trail Maids. We rushed back and had to make a mad dash for the building because it was raining. We all managed to get ready in about 15 minutes for prom -- hairspray, dresses, perfume, and makeup were flying across the dressing rooms! I have never seen girls primp so quickly! And, as planned, prom was SO much fun! All of the girls danced together, got to meet some fun boys, and even performed our opening number on the floor, ha. It was held in one of the art museums here in Mobile, which was simply gorgeous. I even got some of the moms to come dance! Everyone without a doubt had a great time.
So, I'm going to go sleep in an extra 30 minutes tomorrow; they were very generous and pushed rehearsals back to 8:30am -- thank goodness!
And, I would also like to thank those of you who have been keeping up with me and writing me back! Your comments are so encouraging and it's nice to know I have such strong support. I really do appreciate the time you take to read these!
