Wow!!! So this is my first time checking my blog since I have been in Mobile and I am quite overwhelmed by the support of my family and friends!! You guys are amazing and I almost cried when I read all of the new posts. Thank you so much for being the best cheering crowd ever (all over the world!)
I am absolutely loving it here, and that's an understatement. I am having such a good time with my host family and roommate, Meaghan, from New Hampshire. If you have seen pictures of my family, you already know, they are ADORABLE! All of the other girls are awesome and the thing I am most surprised by is how quickly we have bonded. Most of us opened up pretty quickly and if there were any that were still shy, that was ended at the Gordon Oaks party last night! The DJ was so fun and I've never had so much fun at a retirement center! We danced the night away.
Most of our days have been consumed with rehearsals thus far. That has been quite the obstacle trying to remember the routines, and practicing them in the heels we will wear when I get home! Today we had our Day of Caring. I got to go to Camp Smile, a camp for children with cerebal palsy and other disabilities. It was so much fun!!! My group dressed up a group of girls and took glamour shots! They were adorable. Then tonight we had a "Mardi Gras in June" picnic with our host families. Our favorite DJ made another spectacular appearance. We have become good friends :)
Anyway, I would just like to thank everyone for the loving messages and all of your support. It means so much to me to know I have so many people rooting for me! You guys are the best!
Love,
Lisa
