Covenant Hospice, a not-for-profit organization, is seeking pet-owners and pets for its Paws for Patients volunteer program. The Paws for Patients program is for pets and pet-owners who are already certified as pet therapists or who are interested in working on their pet therapy certification with the group. The certified pets make therapeutic visits with Covenant Hospice patients and others in the community. Participants will meet other pet owners, enjoy light refreshments and learn first-hand how therapeutic animals bring comfort to others.
